External Description

”TheVilla” faces the sea from an high ground as Ligea, the siren who scanned the deep blue of the Mediterranean up to the horizon to safeguard sailors.
Villa Ligea stands in one of the most beautiful and fashionable area of Positano, the little town of the Amalfi Coast universally known for its uniqueness and beauty. 
It is a typical Positano’s building where the influence of Byzantine architecture has perfectly been melt with the skilful hands of local masters.
Arks, vaults and niches interlace on the pastel blue-sky majolica tiles.
The view is breathtaking: spacious balconies and verandas face the multicoloured sea; the Sirens’ Island in front; Positano, the crib town, to the right.

Internal Description

The Villa is on two floors, surrounded by gardens and terraces. 
The living-room is very luminous with a panoramic veranda-terrace furnished with comfortable sofas, a large dinner-table, a wide flat screen satellite television with the best audio and dvd equipment. 
The internet connection is wire-less allowing our guests to easily connect themselves wherever they are in the residence or in the gardens. 
The kitchen adjacent to the sitting-room is of a professional quality and extremely well equipped. You can rent the services of a cook for an entire day or only for special events. .
The Villa has five bedrooms (either double or twin), all furnished in a Mediterranean style and all different, offering sea-view from a small balcony. Each bedroom is provided with a bathroom (either a spacious tub or a whirlpool bath) a safe, autonomous air-conditioning and mosquito-net. 
We decided not to put a television in the rooms but to furnish all our visitors with an I-pod dock instead as the view is too beautiful to be diverted by other images. We believe it far better to be transported by the sound of sea-waves and yours favourite music.

Air conditioning and heating throughout, high speed wire less connection, pay telephone for incoming and outgoing calls, safe in each bedroom, satellite TV, DVD player, I-pod dock in each bedroom, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryers in each bathroom, fridge/freezer, four-burner cooker, microwave, toaster, electric oven.

Services

English speaking manager on call. 4 hours cleaning per day with change of linen twice a week on Saturday and Wednesday (on request also every day with an extra payment). 
Porter service for luggage can be booked on request and is payable locally, extra maid service on request on confirmation of booking, payable locally, approximately 10 Euros per hour. Local cook, food delivery, babysitter, cot and high chair available on request for an additional fee.
Electricity included up to 300 Kwh. Excess of the included kwh will be paid locally at Euro 0,42 per kwh.
Refundable security deposit due upon arrival: 1500 euros in cash.

Access

Approx. 40 steps down from the main coastal road.

Distance

It is possible to reach the little beach below the Villa in a few minutes. Here you will find a typical bathing establishment where you will be able to eat a fresh salad and have a good swim. The centre of Positano is just one kilometre from the residence and can comfortably be reached by public transport or, easily enough, by a little walk of about ten minutes. Buses stop to Amalfi or Sorrento on the main road, Sorrento 25 Km, Amalfi 15 Km, Ravello 21 km, Pompei 55 Km. Airports: Naples 70 Km, Rome (Fiumicino) 330Km
