External Description

The Villa  is conveniently located within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. Built in the 18th century, the Villa is the ancestral family home of an antiques dealer who has lovingly and carefully filled the house with many lovely pieces.
The house is marked by several terraces, each beautifully planted with bougainvillea, lemon trees, roses and other plants. The 
Villa is furnished with antiques and wonderful works of art – a combination of old prints, etchings and sketches plus some more contemporary landscapes. There are vaulted ceilings and tile floors throughout as is typical of the architecture of the region. 
It can be rented with the upstairs penthouse ” Piccola Fiorita ” to accommodate a party of 10 or with ” Il Pettirosso ” to accommodate a total of 14/15.
Children over 12 years of age are welcome.

Internal Descrition

The 1st floor contains:

• Lower extensive garden/terrace which runs the lenght of the house with three separate areas for dining, relaxing and enjoying the view under pergolas.
• Comfortable sitting room and living room with antique furniture and doors opening to the garden/terrace.
• Separate dining room with antique Tuscan table seats 8, fire place, antique furniture and access to the garden/terrace.
• 1 small open shower bathroom.
• Large fully equipped kitchen with 4 gas and 2 electric burner stove, electric oven, spare small fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and double sinks.

The 2nd floor contains: 
• 1 separate large studio/library with single sofa bed.
• 3 spacious double bedrooms (all with air conditioning units), full of lovely antiques, open directly to a shared terrace with views over the town and sea.
• 2 bathrooms, 1 with an enclosed shower stall, 1 with large tub and both a hand-held and wall-mounted shower.
• various closets.

Telephone available for incoming and outgoing calls, radio-cassette player, kitchen with 4 gas & 2 electric burner stove, electric oven, spare small fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and double sinks, ironing facilities and hairdryers, central heating makes this home suitable for off-season rental as well, air conditioned (bedrooms only), parking spaces must be reserved on confirmation of booking, payable locally at Euro 18,00 per day.

Services

Services: English speaking manager on call. Maid service 3 hours per day (mon-frid) with change of towels midweek and final cleaning included in the rental price. Extra hours on request, payable locally, approx. Euros 10 per hour. Air conditioning is payable locally in cash at Euro 80,00 per week. Heating is also payable locally in cash at Euro 140,00 per week. Refundable damage deposit of Euro 500, is due upon arrival in cash (euro) or double signed travellers’ cheques. No other form of payment will be accepted.

Approx. 30 steps from road level.

Distance

15 minutes walking down to the centre and ten more min. to the main beach ”Spiaggia Grande”. The nearest beach Fornillo is at 500 m. approx. From Fornillo is possible to walk to the main beach ”Spiaggia Grande” (400 m). A station for the internal yellow-bus is right on the road below. A short bus ride takes guests to the top of the village (every 15 min) from where one can get the blue buses marked SITA to Sorrento (1 h.) or Amalfi (1 h.). To the right of the main beach numerous ferries and hydrofoils ply daily between Positano and Capri (50min), Naples (50 min), Amalfi (30 min) and Salerno ( 1/2 h).
Within few minutes walk there is a variety of shops, bars, internationally known boutiques and various restaurants.
